  1. Vacations to go (http://vacationstogo.com/) is a good site to check. Also realize high season is more expensive than off season. I've taken 2 carnival cruises. One cost me $530 for a cabin with a window. We booked in Aug for a Jan trip. The other cost me $218 for an inside room with bunk beds, we booked 10 days ahead of time for a Jan cruise (got a senior discount because my 70 yr old Mom and I shared a room).

Last minute tickets can be a good buy if you can manage to get time away that quickly. Even the one I booked months ahead wasn't a bad deal, just not a great one.

I had a fabulous time on both though, I hope you enjoy yours as well. "Guests are required to be 21 years old (on embarkation day) to travel. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by a parent or guardian 25 or older. The exceptions Carnival will make to this policy are:

Married minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple is married. The couple must have proof of marriage at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund.

Domestic Partners/Same-s*x Union minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple are legal Domestic Partners/Same-s*x Union.  The couple must have legal proof of partnership/union at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund. "

  2. Vacationstogo.com is a good site. They have last minute deals all the time. Remember you will need a passport to go on a cruise. I am not sure on how old you need to be but I know the website will have it.

  3. imagation is a cheap one by the way go on carinval.com a find a cheap one

  4. Call Carnival directly, and talk to a Vacation Planner.  I booked a seven day cruise for under $400, but I booked almost a year early.  You have to be 21, or travelling with someone over 25.

  5. Go to the Carnival website and sign up for their email newsletter, every few weeks they have a "Sale" day where they have really good offers and sometimes on board credit too, just for booking on a certain day.

  6. If you want to OVERPAY go ahead and call Carnival direct.

If you want to SAVE then find a good agent and check around fot the best fares.

  7. Call any travel agent who specializes in Carnival Cruises or just visit the Carnival website.  Carnival has many sailings for under $400 a person from various ports in Florida to the Caribbean as well as from San Diego to Mexico.

In order to go alone you must be over 21.  However, you will be charge a single supplement that's about double your cruise fare.  Get somebody to go with you, there should be at least one 21 year old in every cabin.

  8. You won't find anything for that price at this time...Usually you book it months in advance....If you go on Disney Big Red Boat you can be two years old and up. They have day care and Many things for kids to do aboard the ship..It's the Best Ship for kids actually and you'll have a lot of fun..... They may have Family plans and if your trying to keep the cost down, you'll have to take one of the Inside Cabins.....Have Fun....

  9. I've cruised at least 10 times, mostly with Carnival.  I deal with them direct and have used the same person the last few times. The month you sail is a big factor on price. Once you have sailed, you will get a past guest rate on future cruises with them; and they give military discounts also. I have a cruise booked for Dec, costing $700 for two, total price. It would have been cheaper, but I splurged for a window this time. It's a 5 day cruise. Book early and get guaranteed cabin and you will be upgraded. It's happened on every cruise I took. Oh well, you didn't ask for a book. Sorry, I get carried away on this subject. I love cruising.

  10. sure, call your favorite travel agent.  It does not cost you MORE to use an agent.  Those fees are paid by the cruiseline, but they WON'T give you the savings if you book direct.  Typical 4 day Caribbean runs a little more than $400.

  11. Who said using a Travel Agent will be more? Its actually less in most cases; Im a Senior Discount Cruise Specialist.

I will give you the best price!!

  12. The prices you get are PER PERSON for two in the room.  If you add a third or fourth person the room, their price is a lot less.

You will always get the best price by calling Carnival directly.  Go to www.carnival.com and look at the cruises leaving from your closest port.

You can be any age as long as you are with someone who is 25 or older (with a notorized statement from parents/guardian allowing you to travel with this person if you are under 18).

I've taken my teenager and his friend (with a notorized letter signed by both parents of the friend).
