Carnival in Venice?

My husband and I would like to visit Venice for the Carnival. What is the best place to stay and one or two of the best masqurade balls? Also, how far in advance would we need to make reservations?

Well, if you want to go to the Carnival of 2008, make your reservations today! And if money is no object, then the Danielli  Hotel is great, wonderful location, but quite costly. It's all one big Masquerade Ball there. Just show up and the magic will take you.

As I know the Venice festival is in February,so you must contact a travel company for reservations.However,for me Venice is in an endless carnival.As for a hotel it depends of your choise,but if it's question about a carnival let's be a queen and a king and stay at Danielli hotel It's great.Enjoy your trip.
