Im planning a western caribbean cruise in july, and was wondering which ship was the better choice for 18 year olds, going with older people. Wants to hit up Jamaica.

  1. mariner for sure!

i absolutely loved that ship! it was pristine... everything about the ship was well worth waiting 6 months for (i booked very early to ensure a great room) Have fun on your cruise reguardless of what ship you choose. And btw they have great 18+ activites like battle of the sexes and disco nights. its just like a club only at sea!

  2. As a travel agent I must say Mariner.Carnival is a good cruise line however Royal Caribbean is a step above Carnival in every way.  The food is better, the entertainment is better and you can party if you want an you don't have to if you want, for the older persons in your group.  On Royal Caribbean every age has a great time.  And the pricing between the two ships is not very different.

    Have a great time!

  3. well with my experience i have been on a carnival cruise not that same ship but i was on a carnival cruise and it was the most fun ever!! they have so many fun events and get very interactive with the people on the ship. i dont kno about royal cariibean they probably have many things to do and maybe more than carnival but the one thing i know is that i was told that carnival is famous for their ships having lots of parties and very fun people especially at dinner i had tons of fun their

  4. If u r also considering price then choose the Carnival Triumph. It is one of the best price ship for Carnival. Really good rates.

  5. Mariner Hands Down!!!!!!

  6. Definitely the Mariner. I went on that ship and it was a lot of fun. Royal caribbean has an abundance of onboard activities, more than carnival. It's a ship you will enjoy and definitely get your monies worth.

  7. CARNIVAL for sure its the best party ship around

royal caribbean is nice to but kind of not the 18 year old type

  8. You'll find the lines drawn in cement.....RCL or Carnival. So here's another vote for Carnival (and I have been on both)The Triumph is a great ship, I was on it 2 years ago, you will definately not lack for things to do. I have always found the food and service better on carnival. You can check out cruisecritic.com and check out the boards, they will have info on both ships so you can make an informed decision. Have fun
