Another one of the important games of Tuesday was played at the HSBC Arena as Buffalo Sabres played at Carolina Hurricanes’ home.
Both teams are close in the running for the playoffs and needed to win and score crucial points.

The teams went into the break with Hurricanes still leading 1-0. During the course of the period, Hurricanes made 9 shots on goal while Sabres made 10 shots on goal.
"We feel we have arguably the best goaltender in the world," Hurricanes’ coach, Paul Maurice, said. "For a one-goal hockey game, there was lots going on."
Hurricanes’ coach talked about his goalkeeper in the words above as he stopped all the shots on goal which enabled his team to lead at the end of the second period.
