Caroline Hedwall and Maria Hjorth head to Arkansas
Caroline Hedwall and Maria Hjorth have confirmed that they would take part in the coming Walmart Northwest Arkansas Championship Presented by P&G.
These names are a welcome addition to an already star studded event that will take place in Rogers, Arkansas. These players are going to enhance the appeal of the event and give fans some great golf to cheer at.
Caroline Hedwall is a new comer to LPGA. She joined in 2011 and since then, has been climbing the rankings. Her career includes five professional wins. This is no mean feat for a golfer who turned pro in 2011.
Her string of victories was at Ladies Professional Tour. The first one was in May 2011, when she won the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open by a two-stroke margin.
Next was Finnair Masters in July 2011, which was a repeat of the May event. In September 2011, she played in UNIQA Ladies Golf Open and won it by a four-stroke margin.
Caroline Hedwall is no stranger to high level golf. She has already played in top LET tournaments and is well aware of the pressure that players go through in these events.
Maria Hjorth is another player no stranger to international golf. A professional since 1996, she has competed in international golf events throughout the world.
Maria Hjorth has a distinguished record. She has played on both LPGA and LET. She has five LPGA wins and two LET trophies to her credit.
This has given her a vast exposure and she will use all that experience at the Arkansas event.
Eleven professional wins is not to be taken lightly. She has also played the famous Solheim Cup five times. She is all set to give a tough time to any contender likely to stand in her way.
With these players gracing the event, the tournament will get exciting for many European fans. Both Caroline Hedwall and Maria Hjorth have large fan bases and many of them will be there at the event.
