Caroline Hedwall talks about her game
Caroline Hedwall will defend her title in the upcoming UNIQA Ladies Golf Open. This event will take place in GolfClub Fohrenwaldh in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. The dates are September 7 to 9.
This will be her third appearance on the LET this year. She has previously posted top 15 finishes in both of her appearances. In a recent chat, she talked about her game and thoughts on defending her title.
In response to the question about her time at the LPGA, she said that she started the season on a great note. Somewhere down the line, she suffered an injury, which kept her out of the golf season for a couple of months.
At the start of the US Open, she was advised to lay off golf as her injury could escalate into a fracture. She went on complete rest. Just seven weeks ago, she came out of rehab and started practice.
Unlike many foreign players, who opt to move full time or partially to the US, she is still based in Sweden. When asked about it, she said that she practices at her home club, Barsebäck. This is mainly due to her affinity with her family and her favourite
golf course.
For Hedwall, the only change this year is a new manager, Sportyard. They are also based in Sweden.
2012 UNIQA Ladies Golf Open is the first title she will be defending as a professional. When asked about this, she said that she is very excited about the tournament. She enjoyed her time there last year and is looking forward to repeat the good times.
She plans to take it easy during the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open. She has just returned from rehab and too much pressure could cause her problems to resurface.
She said that she has not played a proper tournament since July and her performance remains untested.
She is very fond of her twin sister Jacqueline who caddied for her last year. Jacqueline will make her LET debut this year at the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open. This is an exciting time for both the sisters, as they have not competed against each other before.
