Caroline Masson happy to be back in Dubai
German Caroline Masson has said that she is happy to be back in Dubai, and her biggest goal is to win the money race for the season.
Masson is all set to take on rivals at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters 2012, scheduled for December 5-8, at Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Speaking to the media during her pre-tournament interview on Tuesday, the German star said that she regrets missing out on the last edition of the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, as she had to
deal with injury.
“Last year, I was really disappointed I got injured in September and couldn't play for a few months and couldn't come here.  But it's great to be back here and it's great memories,” said Masson
who is going to battle Spanish Carlota Ciganda for money title at the tournament.
Despite not being able to take part in the season-ending Ladies European Tour (LET) tournament last year, Masson started the 2012 season in impressive style and managed to record good finishes
in some of the tournaments.
She grabbed one title in the season, but made the most of her experience, finishing inside the top-5 in five other events.
Masson took part in the 2012 South African Women’s Open with plenty of confidence, and won the title after shooting an overall 215 on the leaderboard.
The 2010 season was her first year at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. She displayed a good performance at the prestigious tournament and finished 14th by scoring an overall 287
on the leaderboard.
Having proved her mettle on the LET, Masson is now ready to get her feet wet with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour. She recently won her Tour card, and is set to start
the 2013 season along with players from across the world.
Since the LPGA has a much wider audience than the LET does, as it has attracted players from places as far as China and Japan, Masson is set to boost her image worldwide as one of the rising
European stars.
“It's great, it's kind of a bonus.  I had a great year.  I was injured last year.  I didn't know, you know, if I could play as well as I did before.  I didn't know what was going to happen”.
