Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka and John Isner to play for charity in Thailand – Tennis News
World number one, Caroline Wozniacki, along with Victoria Azarenka and John Isner will contest in Thailand to kick-off their New Year preparation with an exhibition tournament. Dane world number one will not be left alone in the alien country by her
boyfriend, Rory McIlroy, who will join her on Tuesday December 27th.
Wozniacki will crash in against the Belarusian tennis ace, Azarenka, in a friendly encounter that will be contested at the heartthrob of Hua Hin, InterContinental Hua Hin Resort's Centennial Park. The World Tennis Charity event is organised for the
sake of charity purposes to help those that are unable to finance their basic necessities due to floods.
World number three, Azarenka, will arrive in Thailand on December 29th and will be in action shortly. It will be a good warm-up event for all the participants before their official tours for the new season stake place in January next year.
John Isner will be seen in action against the local favourite, Paradorn Srichaphan. It is expected to be an exciting contest considering the support that the local hero will receive; it will be a difficult task for the tall visitor to overpower his
opponent.
Thai tennis chief, Suwat Liptapanlop, was happy to confirm the participation of beautiful tennis ladies from those top ranks of Association of Tennis Professionals in a charity event. He also welcomed Isner for this holy cause and stated that it will
be a good opportunity for Thai fans to witness their favourites superstars in action live in front of their eyes.
There are not many events conducted in that part of the world, so this might be one of those rare times when local people will have an opportunity to grab some autographs and have some snaps with world’s most talented individuals. Talking about this
event, the tennis chief of Thailand stated, “They will have a great time in Thailand. We are looking forward to some great tennis and an exciting New Year celebration."
The event will take place on New Year at 1700 local time. It is expected that sizeable amount will be collected for a noble cause and women tennis stars will prepare themselves before their first ATP event, Apia Sydney International, commences from
January 8th.
The cost of ticket is fixed to be at 2000 Thai baths; they are available at every Thai Ticket Major shop.
