Ashe Stadium of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Wozniacki outclassed King in straight sets of 6-2, 6-4.

was this year on hard courts of the Australian Open. Wozniacki had again outshone her opponent in straight sets of 6-1, 6-0 and thus, was leading 2-0 in their head-to-head. This was the third chance given to Vania King to restore her dignity against world

2-2. In the fifth Wozniacki held her serve and went on to break her adversary in the sixth and again won on her serve in the seventh. She finally took the lead 5-2 and was looking for another opportunity to not only break her opponent but give her the final
blow, which she ultimately managed and was able to clog the set with a 6-2 victory.
Although, the crowd had cheered for King, she was unable to produce the numbers and had committed a walloping 18 unforced errors. With a difference of almost ten points Wozniacki was able to win the first set.
Even after taking a beating in the first set, King had not learnt her lesson and even though, she had performed relatively better in the second, she eventually lost. Opening the second set was again Wozniacki, as both the players

took the lead in the tenth game by breaking her adversary for the third and last time.
