Caroline Wozniacki seeks her inspiration from Rory McIlroy – Tennis News
Former world number one, Caroline Wozniacki, has once again openly cited that she is immensely inspired by her boyfriend and the number one golfer in the world, Rory McIlroy. She plans to begin the New Year with the Irish golfer
in Australia, where McIlroy will be present to back her up for the Grand Slam campaign in Melbourne.
McIlroy concluded his fifth full pro season last weekend by registering a cracking victory at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Wozniacki was right there by his side in the glorious presentation ceremony and hopes that she
will have also have such gigantic moment next year at the Australian open Grand Slam championships along with her boyfriend.
Wozniacki and McIlroy will travel to Aspen, Colorado and then to the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo in the coming month, as the tennis ace has to feature some exhibition matches there. The top rated Irish golfer will then ignite his
New Year in Brisbane, with her ravishing girlfriend taking part in the Brisbane International tournament.
The current world number 10, Wozniacki, was quite worried about McIlroy’s performance at the DP World Tour Championship. The hot favourite golfer caught sunstroke earlier and was lagging behind on the last day of the mega event.
However, he forced his way right back in the contest with a much-needed birdie to close out his five holes and won the championship by two holes. Wozniacki was extremely ecstatic on his performance in the end.
“However he was really bad last night. It was the worst he was but he got up this morning and it was quite good,” she expressed afterwards. “But then to see him close out the tournament like that was definitely inspirational for
me. It’s great to see him doing so well and never giving up. I think he’s matured a lot the last year or two. It’s great to see, he’s such a great player — it’s amazing to see. He’ll keep going for a long time.”
Wozniacki hasn’t been in her finest form this year but managed to finish off the professional circuit in a decent manner. She looks ahead for her voyages in Australia and hope to take off a flying start to the 2013 WTA season.
