  1. two cups of water, strawberry or cherry jello, cornmeal, flour and sugar bring to a boil put in frig. to stiffen up for about two hours and when you take it out of the frig. and it is still not stiff enough add flour to make it a little stffer to stay on your hook. good luck and good fishing.

  2. some stores sell carp bait try walmart or a sporting good store. also if there are crawfish carp love dead craw fish whole. after you hook them smoosh the tail a little so that some of the guts are hanging out. make sure you are using a heavy braided line carp are fighters. i love to fish them down hear in az... i always use crayfish it works well and it gives the kids something to do...

  3. Velveeta! Bread dough balls.

Ask anyone who fishes in the Pittsburgh, PA area!

The rivers are teeming with them.

The best carp fishermen(women) I have ever spoken to.

Ask for their recipes! You are guaranteed a Carp!

  4. aww, The Carp in The Bathtub was one of my favorite books as a child. a few years ago, i found an old copy of that book at a yard sale.

  5. I'm onboard with the dead crayfish and location, location, location... need to find out where they are congregating, where I grew up at in Mass. we had the CT river and the carp were always in the shallows...(that is where we saw most of them) and the water was moving but not really fast so they were mucking around for food...next to catfish they are the second biggest bottom feeder common to most lakes (sturgeon are also bottom feeders and have been around for as long as carp)
