  1. first of all, the brent kid below is an idiot, carp are bottom feeders, so what u need to do, is put a big hook on ur line, then fill ur hook with corn, throw it in, and take like two hand fulls of corn and throw it in around ur hook, the carp will come around, and fyi corn doesnt float, and they come and start sucking up ur corn, then it will go by ur hook and suck that up too, its a guarantee, just need patiene, good luck

  2. Never mind the answers from the states where carp are a nuisance..May I suggest you tune into Talksport Radio on Saturday and Sunday morning and maybe give the presenter Keith Arthur a ring 08717223344, he has contacts in Ireland and has lots of good sound advice.

  3. Actually, Carp are both surface feeders(floating bread does it) and bottom feeders, legered luncheonmeat, or pellet. As for venue, Dublin Tourist board would point you the right way, good luck

  4. uncle josh carp bait

  5. Do much like ZIEM said. However,I've had better luck with smaller hooks.I prefer to use a size 2.Make sure you use a thick strong hook that won't bend in case you catch a bigger one.

  6. Ive seen alot of people fly fishing for them.  But ive used Corn, bread ect.  Any food that will float along the top of the water.  (Carp are top water feeders)  I havent had any luck on lures, but Ive seen fly fishing work well with them.  Also, if its legal in your area, Bow fishing is a great way to fish carp, if you not looking for the fight!
