I had my surgery a couple weeks ago and I'm still having pain in my elbow, I went for a check up today and the surgeon who did the operation said that CTS doesn't cause elbow pain, and it only affects from your wrist to your fingers, which I know is BS I came home and checked on yahoo and WebMd says that it does. My elbow has been sore for over a year now.

  1. Give the nerve some chance to recover.  You are correct that the elbow can also be involved but it can also be a different problem.  If there is no improvement by the time the wrist recovers then see another orthopedist that specializes in elbows.  There is also the possibility that the original problem resides in the neck and not at the wrist level.  That would account for the pain in both areas.  Hopefully there was or will be a referral for physical therapy.  Talk to the therapist about the problem and see what they might have to say about it.
