Carpel tunnel syndrome???

i think i have carpel tunnel. i used to type ALL the time on my lap. now i type on my desk but that's all i do all day. im only 11 but...my shoulder hurts really bad and looks lower than the other in the mirror. i lost sensativity in my right hand. ive started to do stretches every 20 minutes but i forgot to today and now im starting but ive been on the comp with my friend all day. i try to sit straight every time i think of it but i have bad posture. my hand felt really hot and now its cold and tingling like when your foot falls asleep. i can hardly feel the keys. my mom won't believe me. what should i do??? my mom won't believe me so i guess she wont get me medicene. please help what do i do??? god now it feels like my shoulder is shaking whenever i stop typing...

  1. You are not too young to have carpel tunnel syndrome, And you really should go and have it tested. You really should think about seeing a Dr. about your problem before it gets any worse.


  2. Yes, this sounds like similar to carpal tunnel syndrome but it could also just be strain from the position you use when you sit to type.  Sometimes too the kind of chair used when typing can create a problem (an example only but it happened to my mom).

    I would recommend that you talk to another family member such as your dad or other relative that is close by to let them know what's going on and they may be able to talk to your mom for you.

  3. I just had carpal tunnel surgery. Before that I used a wrist brace and it does help.  Try talking to your mom again or another family member. There are tests you can have done to tell if you have it or not. Since you're only 11, I would get this looked into.
