Carpet Care Extremely Important. Need Advice Quickly!

Ok, I have stains all over my apartment like dirt and kool aid, more so where people walk..its pretty bad.......and when I move out of here I don't want to get charged for carpet cleaning...is there any tricks or products that really work?? The color of my carpet is tanish so I can bleach it..Please help me....its driving me crazy I hate it when my place looks like c**p. Lol Im a clean freak .I need it to be as cheap as possible so please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. If the kool-aid was red, you may be out of luck.  That red dye is close to impossible to get out, especially an old stain.   Most respectible carpet cleaner companies will come out to your place to give you a free estimate... they can at least look at it and tell you if it'll be possible to remove that stain and you're not obligated to use their services.

    If you're going to try yourself do NOT steam clean that koolaid stain. The hot water will set it for sure.  You could try some oxy-clean and cool water on a small spot, see if that will take it out.  If that works and you get that stain out, go ahead and steam clean the rest of the carpet.


  2. You will need to rent a rug doctor and pretreat all dirt stains and clean the kool-aid with rubbing alcohol. Use the hottest water possible!Do it 2 or 3 times. It's about $20 for 24 hours. You can pretreat with some dishwashing liguid(dawn)mixed with water in a spray bottle if you need to save money.
