Carphone Warehouse/AOL?

This company is taking unknown amounts of money in deposits and not supplying the goods or returning the money.

Are they going to the wall?

Hmm, AOL  - and Carphone, are currently solvent, and in fairness to them both, look to have healthy balance sheets.

I would guess this is an administration error, if you have called and complained, written and done the same, and you have had no response then yes take the to court.

It's unlikely they will go to court as they will settle before it goes that far, however if you get your day and win, you have every change of receiving your awarded funds.

I wouldnt think AOL or carphone warehouse are going bust - is this for the free laptop offer?  I had to wait nearly a month for my laptop but it was worth it.
