Question:

Carpool proof?

Sometimes I drive with my baby in the back seat in the carpool lane. I have been pulled over 4 or 5 times now because it's a van and you can't see the baby or the seat from outside unless you look at the proper angle. I'm sick of being pulled over and then sent on my way so often. Is there something I can do? Is there a placard (like those clean-emission placards or something) that I can use? I've never been fined or anything, it's just a nuisance. The freeway is jammed, so I wouldn't get anywhere without the carpool lane, which moves along quite nicely.

  1. I didn't realize that driving with a baby counts as a carpool.  Call the bureau of motor vehicles and the police department non emergency number and ask them what you can do.  You are lucky to have that option.  No carpool lanes here.

  2. I always wondered if being pregnant was enough to drive in the carpool lane. lol. Maybe a "Baby On Board" thingie would help??

  3. Gosh I love people like you! You break the law, get caught, and want to know how you can break it again without being caught?

Are you above the rules? What makes you so special? Why should you be allowed to drive in the carpool lane when everyone else has to suffer in traffic?

    Thanks for the 2 points

  4. UwishU - lmao!!

PS I agree with the others - I do not believe that a baby counts as a 'carpool'

  5. You will have to see what your states rules are for using the carpool lane.  Simply Having a baby in the car doesn't sound like it would qualify to me.

  6. I dont think that counts as carpool, the cop was being nice to you by letting you go scotch free.
