Carribbean?

Question

where is the best place to go on a cruise through the carribbean:

east, south, or west?

this will be my first time going on a cruise, and i want to go somewhere warm and exciting, something that two 15yr olds AND adults can enjoy

Between Eastern and Western, def Eastern!!  I recommend a 7 day if your going to cruise!  5 day cruises are to busy to relax and enjoy.

My teen girls swear by Carnival!! (we enjoyed it also) For the price it's the best option.  (Go on a newer boat!) We like to travel in January or October.  Weather is great in both months.  October tends to be cheaper because it is in Hurricaine season.  (the boats go around all the weather)  All I've ever seen is sunshine.  Hope this helps.  Happy Sailing!

Don't bother with the carribbean a lot of the ships have disease problems and people falling overboard.  Go to Greece and cruise the Greek Isles.  It is a wonderful place to take a cruise and the "wine dark sea" and the white islands are beautiful.  The food is delicious too.

I have never been on a southern caribbean cruise, but out of the Eastern and Western, my choice, by far is the Eastern.  I went to St. Maarten and St. Thomas.  They were both relaxing and enjoyable with plenty of beaches to discover.  

However, on the Western cruise, if you go go Grand Cayman, I would definitely get an excursion (you can book when you get off the ship, it is cheaper) Go to Stingray City.  It is absolutely gorgeous.  You take a boat ride out to stingray city which is only about 3 feet deep.  The stingray's come right up to you and you can feel them.  Beautiful!

I would suggest either a western or eastern caribbean....the southern ones are out of Puerto Rico, I wouldn't be flying to another country right now (that's just my opinion however).

It really doesn't matter much where you go....all of those islands look the same after a while.

I just finished a five day western on the Inspiration. and it was great.  Both of my kids had a great time.  We went to Grand cayman and Cozumel, and they were both good ports.  Much better than the Bahamas.  The only thing you have to prepare for is George the Greek (matre de).  We got the whole trip for about $1400 for four people.
