If Carrickboy runs to his utmost, he will be able to finish first. His chances to win are as high as 80 percent.
Among Carrickboy’s rivals, Alpha Way and Made In Time seem to be in favourable positions to perform well today.
After bagging two back-to-back victories during November-December 2011, Alpha Way won a big race on January 19, 2012 at Taunton. In his last outing at Leicester on February 16, Tom Symonds’ black gelding finished fifth.
Made in Time gained great confidence by winning a race on January 9, 2012. The trainee of Rebecca Curtis went on to finish seventh in his last outing on January 28. Overall, the gelding has won 4 out of his total 14 starts so far.
Both these opponents of Carrickboy look to be somewhat worthy. Thus, there is going to be a rip-roaring competition at Hereford today. Carrickboy will have to fight with his back to the wall in order to win. Let us see how he struggles to succeed. Good
luck to all the runners.
