the equalizer with a powerful header, but was denied by the Blues shot stopper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837 who cleared the ball of the line.
And even though he was unable to score a goal on Tuesday, the 23-year old appeared to be in sublime form, as he created numerous opportunities for his team-mates during the course of the game.
While talking to reporters after the match, he said: “I’ve been through a lot, I think, and coming out at the end of it with a few good performances has been great for me.”
An early own goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 on the night, and Carroll was glad to see his team-mates leave their imprint on the game.
He continued, “I thought I was a little bit unlucky but we’re happy with the win. We had four different goal scorers so we’re delighted with that.”
The win was Liverpool’s 6th at home and the striker felt that his side have remained a victim of bad fortune throughout the season.
“I think we’ve played quite well throughout the season and just haven’t got the results. But we need to put that right and just keep playing the way that we know we can, because we’ve got some brilliant players.”
He also claimed that a win in their last home game of the season served as a morale booster for the players, and a strong finish can set a positive tone for them going into the next season.
