Liverpool’s 35 million pound striker, Andy Carroll admitted that he is nervous ahead of the Reds visit to Sports Direct Arena on the weekend.

The 23 year old left the Magpies in January 2011 but has struggled to live up to the expectations at Anfield, where he has

I don’t usually get nervous but this might be a bit different,” Carroll idsa while talking to reporters.
“All of my family and friends will be there but they’re so big on football that I’m not sure who they’ll be supporting.”
The Reds Premier League form has been in shambles currently. However, the Magpies have enjoyed a successful current season, reaching the 50 point mark for the first time since 2005/2006.
Carroll mentioned that he was glad to see the Magpies do well this season and said that Newcastle always meant a lot to him.
“It’s great to see Newcastle doing so well. Obviously I support them, was brought up there and was lucky enough to play for them. They will always mean something.”
The misfiring striker last scored a goal for the Reds in a 6-1 victory against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brighton-c38685 in the FA Cup. In the league, he has only netted three goals for Liverpool this season.
Despite the Reds appalling form in the league, Carroll reflected that his side have enjoyed a successful current season and said that the Reds progress in the domestic cups was an indication of that. He believed that the club needed to improve their league
form but termed the excessive criticism on the Reds as unfair.
“We know we must win more games at home. But we have done very well in the cups so far, winning the Carling Cup and reaching the semis of the FA Cup.”
He mentioned that his side has the opportunity to give the distraught fans a massive gift by winning the FA cup this season. He admitted that he opted to play for Liverpool as he wanted to win trophies and be a part of something special. However, he urged
the fans to remain patient.
