  1. only for United until august 18, then you have to pay 15 for the first bag and 25 for  the next  NWA now only allows 2 bags Frontier is the same

  2. You should be grandfathered in if you bought your ticket before March 29, 2008. Each company may have a grandfather date so check with them. However check with your airline company to see if they will allow you to bring two bags. You will have to show proof that you bought your ticket before the rules started.

  3. your carry on has to be pretty much the size of a backpack or duffel bag. They've made the carry on have to be smaller.

There's a suitcase that is really really tiny, that's the one you can take. you know the kids backpacks on wheels? well the suitcase that size.

I just flew last week and I only had 1 bag so I wasn't charged for it and as far as I know the others who had more than 1 weren't charged either but it depends on the airline so call your airline and ask.

Also ask the dimensions of the carry on.

  4. There isn't an average size. Different airlines have different limits and some are very strict so check your airline's website. See British Airways for example http:/www.ba.com. They specify the max in inches and cms. And don't forget weight limits.

Problem really hits when using more than one airline for long haul. I've seen people having to repack when transferring from one nto another with a lower weight limit.

  5. Nope, it still counts whether you bought them before. I honestly thought it was two bags, but I guess it depends on the airline.

The average size for a carry on would be the width of a backpack when full, and the size of a large laptop case. But if you're flying on a jet airplane than the width would have to be much thinner.

    Good luck!!

    God Bless!! :)
