Carryon Frozen meat Northwest airlines / TSA?

NWA allows dry ice to be carried on or checked in a hard plastic vented container. Will TSA allow this to be carried on the flights? Any idea's on what container would work if they do allow it. I understand NO WATER, but dry ice is supposed to be okay.

I have been out of the airline business for several years, but dry ice has never been allowed as a carry on. I suggest that you check again with Northwest Airlines about this. You can also check TSA's website to see if dry ice is allowed.
