Im a girl and bidding on this car on ebay... below is the detail on whats wrong with the car. I don't understand what he means by primer... is the back a different color??

The only issues with the car are the windshield has a crack and the rear facia took a hit and I repaired it but is in primer as you can see from the photos. I also included a photo of the rear when it was new so you could see the license placement. The front facia has a couple stress cracks from bottoming out but they are not big and can be reinforced with a little fiberglass resin and you're good to go!

  1. primer means it is ready to get painted. the front bumper has stress cracks so that has to be repaired. at the very least you have about 500-700 dollars worth of work to do to get the windshield replaced, and the rear bumper fixed.  hope that helps, those cars run pretty well, with good maintance.  


  2. Sounds like the guy has thrashed the car a bit.  Had a new Stratus a while back.  Dumped it as fast as I could.

  3. primer is what you paint on metal before painting.  you have different colors in primer but it is always a flat color.  we usually use the red which looks more brown to me.  almost a rust color.

    my question is how rough a driver was the owner to do this damage?

  4. DO NOT get a dodge stratus!!!! That is part a, part b is the primer is paint that goes on first before the primary color. It seems to have been handled a little rough for the rear end and the front to be damaged as well as the windshield. But above all.. DONT GET A DODGE STRATUS

  6. It sounds like he has worn it out . Primer goes on before paint so it means it isn't painted . That is too much for a fixer upper.
