Question:

Cars are too expensive.?

I feel that cars are way too expensive. I think for every $100 the vehicle costs, it should last for one year. Like if you buy a $5000 vehicle, it should last for at least 50 years. I am looking into buying another vehicle, but they are just so expensive. I am looking at vehicles that cost $1000 or less, and they always need work, if I am going to pay that much money, the vehicle should be perfect with no problems and low miles. Not everybody is rich, I only make around $550 a week, and I only have around $400 a week extra(after bills). I can't buy a car that costs more than what I make in a week, that is just stupid. Does it make anyone else mad how expensive cars are.

  1. Seems like everything is expensive any more.  Prices go up but our paychecks never keep pace with inflation.  I agree that car prices are way too much.  Car prices are set by the manufacturer to what they think the market will bear.  If everybody refused to buy that new car for just 6 months, I guarantee the prices would start to come down.  The first thing the public blames for the high prices is the labor.  Everyone thinks the workers make way too much money.  I think not!  Have you ever seen how much the executives make?  They're grossly overpaid.  I say pi$$ on 'em all!  I find older vehicles that still have some use in them, put a little bit of money in them and give them a little bit of TLC then drive them till the wheels fall off.  I just rescued a 1993 Chevrolet Beretta GT  3.1L 5-speed from a barnyard.  I got it for free.  I put about $1500 in it and now I have a sweet running, easy driving, and actually nice looking car.  They're out there...you just have to go find them.

  2. h**l yeah i heard the most expensive car was 400 million dollars. who the f#$k gonna buy that

  3. lease  a car

  4. If you won't spend more than you make in a week, you will always be driving a broken piece of c**p. Unless you keep investing in new parts all the time that is. Even $1500 does not buy much today. Just a decent set of new tires will run $400.

Experience shows that investing more up front cost less in the long run.

I'm puzzled why you would think that something offered at 10% of it's original price should be just as good as a new one at full price.

Used = broken = costs less.

  5. Cars are too expensive new. Used isn't bad at all though. I have a car that is 15 years old and not even half way into the ground yet. Worth around $1000-3000 and near luxury in it's time.
