OK, So here's the deal I am almost 18 years old and plan on going to medical school to become a doctor, but I need my own vehicle to transport myself around town because I will be about 450 miles away from home. I have a very hard time fitting in cars no matter how far the seat is back I still can't fit in them. Seeing as how I have a large body at 6'9 310lbs. I have been saving up for a vehicle that will suit my needs for a long time (about 4 years). I would like mainly a truck but an SUV is perfectly fine too. Money is not an option, because my parents have agreed to help pay for it. So if you could help me out by giving me and my parents some Ideas, It would be GREATLY appreciated!

  1. I had the same problem and so a friend of mine who is a mechanic told me to buy a Buick LeSabre. I thought how can any car that size and so comfortable be good on gas.... boy was I surprised. I got the (1998) 6 cyl. limited, leather and all the bells and whistles and I get better gas mileage than my mother who has a toyota. Can you believe it? So you can't go wrong and the price is right!

  2. Okay, Bubba, you came with a pretty easy one here.  I'm a big man too so I can relate.  The best part is that the money (and so I figure the fuel costs) is not a problem.  You want room, comfort, and pull power, check out the Nissan Titan under consumer reports.  It's certainly got the payload, tow capacity, roomy interior, etc.  Nice that we have computers now to shop, eh?  Good luck, bro.  Mike the mechanic

  3. i am 6ft3 240lbs and i drive a toyota corolla, mostly in the city. my suggestion 2 you is 2 get a van such as ford or chrysler and ask them 2 move the seat track back until you are comfy. i now of people who had this done because of size or handicaps, not saying your handicapped. its a custom fit car for different people with different needs. i hope this helped. good luck mike  p.s also make sure the seats have power options.

  4. You're a big kid-and im being a hypocrit since i just knockd on  american engineering in a previous article. but for a guy your size i think the truck with the most room would be the chevy silverado 1500. you don't have to get a new one but try to stay above the 2004. they're either equippd with a 4.8L or 5.3L-stay away from the 6.0 since you'll probly never need the power....they get reasonable gas mileage and are affordable.

  5. get a truck like a king ranch or F-450

  6. Check out the Honda Element....Yes that square lookin thing actually has lots of room....Lots of head room and the doors open very wide, to the point where they could hit the side of the car....Besides your confort drinvign it, you would find it very easy to fit your needs,  lots of cargo room....

  7. The Toyota Avalon has a very big interior. You can't beat it in quality either. You can easily get 300000 problem free miles. The front seat is surprisingly roomy in a Mazda 6 as well, i'm 6' and my feet can't reach the pedals with the seat back all the way! If you're not worried about gas mileage check out a Toyota Sequoia or Tundra. I'm a big fan of Japanese cars based on how reliable they are.
