The latest rogue trader problem involves people who buy cars at the side of the road. I find it hard to believe that people actually buy vehicles from these traders- they pose as private sellers to avoid liability.

Do you know anyone who has been mug enough to buy acar from the side of the road?

  1. yes i do know a few that have bought cars from these people. as far as i can see there is no problem with it. its up to the person to decide if the car is ok, you can still get the car checked out if you want to and at the end of the day you don't have to buy it. If you feel the need to buy from the garage then that is your choice. As long as the car is MOT'd properley then there is no problems. You will find that most of these people are straight up people that are just trying to make a few quid for themselves. It is your decision to buy.

  2. richard7 says there is nothing wrong with buying a car that is advertised at the side of the road. That is true if the person that owns the car lives where it is parked. However, most of these cars only give a mobile number and the owner does not live anywhere near where the car is parked.Ask yourself why?
