Cars... where to get one cheap?

i was wondering if anyone knows wheres to get a cheap good car in southern california...mostly san diego...

Try going to a car auction. You can get a car there for a couple hundred or thousand less than what you would pay at a dealership. http://www.mycarauctionreview.com has a couple of car auction sites you can go to with listings near you. You can also try looking on craigslist and autotrader.com. But you'll get the best deal by going to an auction.

Try craiglist, and search for private owned cars not buisnesses. They might not be really cheap beacuse most cars arent but they will be cheaper then used car dealerships.

Look for "we tote the note" signs. LOL!

No, don't go to those places. they will rake you over the coals. But if you go to a used car lot, ask them about their "back lot" cars. Those are usually the ones that need work, but they either haven't taken the time to fix, or the cost of repairs would eat up their profits.

Avoid the "we finance" signs too. All those places are good for is selling interest rates, not cars. A dealership's used car lot is a good place to shop.
