  1. Go for a japanese car. they have good mileage and worth driving. For your first car, maybe around a civic.

  2. Visit this website  http://www.greenvehicleguide.gov.au

There are a lot of useful information you need

  3. Toyoto's Prius

  4. Look for a mid-late 90's Geo Prism. It's cheap, ($3000 or so), and has nearly the same mileage as a Prius.*

It looks like *** and drives like a brick, but this is your first car, you shouldn't go for more than you can chew at the first go. My friend has it, and aside from the vomit colored paint job he has, he's really happy with it, even though it's at or near 200,000 miles.

  5. Pontiac  Grand Prix.  30 mpg highway and it has comfort.

  6. Carb 3/4 cyl stick these are cheap to drive and fix.

Install a new carb (probably a 1b less then $100)with a electric choke(this will ensure good starts) the thing won't have much pickup but will get great gas mileage 40 avg city/hwy You will have next to no issues with the engine/trans via almost no electronics and if you do the rebuild/part cost is really cheap

    goodluck

  7. The Honda Fit gets 37-40 miles per gallon.

  8. Ford Focus.

  9. Honda civic

  10. I personally think that TOYOTAs get good gas mileage, but really the Japanese cars always do. Toyota Corollas get good gas mileage of about 34 miles per gallon both manual and automatic, and it's about the same with the Toyota Camry. Toyota Yaris gets about 34 mpg in the city and 40 on the highway. And the Toyota Prius gets around 45 miles per gallon. Honda Civic gets to about 34 to 36 mpg on manual or automatic. The same goes for the Honda Fit.
