  1. I had the same problem two piercings one ear.

I used Sergical Spirit, cleaned the little bugger.

  2. I think alcohol us a bit storong, use somehting weaker like salt water, but not too much salt.

  3. Have you changed jewelry? It could be that you have a low grade piece of jewelry or simply a sensitivity to certain kinds of metals. Try something that is not colored and is surgical steel.

Also, be aware of your sleep positions as the way you sleep on the piercing could cause small tears which then become infected.

If you still have problems, go see a certified piercer or a doctor.

  4. I've had mine for 5 years and where it doesn't get infected it does get sore. I've found that the following helps mine alot.

I use one tsp of  non-iodized sea salt in one cup of warm water. Use a medicine dropper and put on the affected area. After that, I'll use a q-tip and apply a thin coat of Neosporin on there and push the stud/hoop back and forth through the hole to really work it through there. Also, take a look at the type of earring you're using. Try using surgical steel for a while. Can be purchased at places like Hot Topic or at any body piercing place. When I've tried to use anything other than surgical steel, I pay the price for a few days.

    Hope this helps!

  5. dont clean it so much keep twisting it and put medicated cream on it and also dont keep taking it out if you are and make sure u dont wear fake earings specially if your allergic to them.i hade the same problem but eventually it stopped.Hoped i helped

  6. Stop cleaning it with alcohol, thats your problem.

Clean it 2-3 times a day for 5-15 minutes with a sea salt soak which consists of 1/8-1/4 tsp non iodized sea salt dissolved in 8 oz distilled or bottled water. You can get the salt at places like wal-mart.
