1. Yes, much much higher.

Unless the tattoo shop is just tattoos only, they should be able to pierce anything, really.

Since it's just your ears, im gunna guess like 15 or something, but call around and ask.

  2. Yes you are in higher risk in getting your cartilage shattered if pierced w/ a piercing gun. Piercing guns shatter the cartilage causing the piercing to take longer to heal, it can become infected and keliods/bumps can form. Your better off getting your cartilage pierced by a pro piercer who uses hollow needles and sterlized equippment, some piercers will pierce the person if there atleast 15-16 w/ parent consent meanign the parent needs to be there or 18+ to get it on your own, since basically its just an ear piercing the piercer will probably be able to pierce you even if you were under 15 but you still have to come with a parent for consent.

  3. I was told by a professional getting cartilage piercings at places like Claire's is bad because they use the gun and that shatters the cartilage and causes infections and things like that. At tattoo shops they use a needle which is better. I am living proof......take my word for it and get it done at a tattoo shop. I think if you are under age you will need a parents consent regardless of where you get it.

  4. i've heard that getting it pierced with a gun shatters the cartilage around the area..... i actually just got mine done at the mall with a gun about 2 weeks ago, it's still a little sore, but not deformed (:

most tattoo places will pierce ears, or will have a have a high recommendation of where to go to get it done

you have to be 18 years old, or have a parent go with you.

    good luck!

  5. I got my cartilege pierced a reallly long time ago when i was like 13ish. i got it pierced at piercing pagoda in the middle of the mall with a piercing gun. it hurt soooooooo much!! i seriously couldnt sleep on it for like a month and like a year later it still wasnt healed.. and now years later i took it out and i have a bump on the back of my hear that isnt going away.

  6. i pierced my cartilidge 7 times with a gun and mine are fine *shrug*

  7. yes, you do have a higher risk.

im prety sure all tattoo parlours pierce as well,

and i got mine for 28$, the earring is more expensive than the piercing (28& for both)

  8. I had my cartilage pierced with a gun many, many, moons ago. It took over a year to fully heal. The back of the ear had a lump for a really long time too. I keep a cheap ring in it now, and I never take it out. It is perfectly fine now. It just a very long time to get it to that point.
