Cartilage piercing...?? (kinda scared.)?

Question

kay im kind of freaking out about getting my cartilage pierced....i've had my ear lobe piercing done..and that didnt hurt (well i was 2 at the time so i dont really remember if it hurt or not..) but now im thinking of getting my cartilage pierced...does it hurt? on a scale of 1-10 (ten being most painful) how painful?

2. I got my nose-pierced before my cartilage and that hurt more than this. But my friend says it was her 2nd most painful piercing (after her tongue.)

So, it really depends on the person. Good luck. (:

P.S. Get it on the side you don&#039;t sleep on.

It hurts like holy h**l.  I had it, and it hurt so bad my eyes were watering for hours.  I mean I felt like the guy smacked me in the side of my head with a frying pan.

Then it got infected and my ear swelled up.

I had to go to the doctor and get an antibiotic.  Never again.

omg dont be scared lol, i have a really low pain tolerance and i barely felt it so its prob a 1, just er and get it over and done with and you&#039;ll be glad you had it done, Good Luck!!!

Well, it hurts just a little more then getting your earlobe pirced. One of my sisters has had it pierced about three times, and another one once. They said it hurt. My mom got it done she said it didnt hurt. So i guess if you are a big wouse on pain, then it will hurt, but i for one dont really think it hurts.

It doesn&#039;t hurt that much. It&#039;s probably even less painful than the sting of a bee. And the pain doesn&#039;t last for long, so don&#039;t worry. On a scale from 1-10, I&#039;d say 3. The only thing you need to worry about is having an infection (if you pierce your own cartilage). So if you go to a clinic or a professional, you have nothing to worry about. :)

Everyone&#039;s pain threshold is different so no one can tell you exactly how badly it&#039;ll hurt.  If you get it done with a gun it&#039;ll shatter your cartilage near the hole but it won&#039;t hurt that much, possibly.  Although it&#039;ll take more time to heal and you&#039;ll probably get a bump on the back because of the cartilage trying to heal the shattered parts.  If you get it done with a needle it&#039;ll hurt more but it&#039;s clean and will heal faster.  Plus, piercers (real piercers, not Claire&#039;s) are better at doing their thing because they&#039;re pros.  If you go to Claire&#039;s or something similar they&#039;re just girls who were barely trained to put a gun up to your ear and pull a trigger.  Awful.

dont be freaked, it kinda feels like a bee sting on your cartilage, then it goes numb so you wont feel it, just dont sleep on it for a while!

i have my cartilage and i don&#039;t know what it&#039;s called but in between the cartilage and ear lobe part done. now, that hurt worse than the cartilage. The cartilage doesn&#039;t hurt at the time but it is sore. it&#039;s hard to sleep on it, i thought i dunno maybe it&#039;s different for you? and don&#039;t get that cheap s hit

i got mine 3 weeks ago, im 13. i didnt even feel it, it looks great and i love it! go for it, but get it done at a tattoo parlour, not &quot;claires&quot; or anywhere like that. follow the correct aftercare and pay attention to what your piercer tells you.
