Cartilage piercing with a needle?

I decide to get my cartilage done with a needle at a tatoo parlor!!! Anything i should know????

they know what they're doing way better than the mall.

And it doesn't really hurt that much while they're doing it but you won't be able to sleep on it for about a week.

EDIT: Yes, you can swim with it and it will be fine. Just clean after and everything. And yes of course they put a ring in it right away. Oh also, it's much better to get a ring than a stud. The guy said that they would give me a stud but rather I had a ring. I was skeptical about it but now i'm glad I followed his advice. Much easier to clean and if your ear swell a little bit (which it will) you can't really tell.

you dont keep it in for jsut two weeks

more like 6 or 7?

then you can change it then after about a year i think you can leave it out.

just keep it clean and ask them if you need to know anything.

buy some clear anti-bacterial hand-soap.

wash the pierced area twice a day with the soap.

just keep it clean.

well if you already did it they would have told you wat to do

and no...

just keep the same earring in for 2 weeks before changing it

at all and keep it clean.

there will be scar tissue.. (lumps on the back or front)

but it will take AWHILE for it to go away
