How long does it take for a cartilage piercing to heal? before you can take out the starter earings? I got mine pierced about 7-8 weeks ago, and they don't look like they are healed at all. They still hurts and have all sort of problems.

  1. mine about a year...

  2. Cartilage piercings take 12 weeks to fully heal because there is not the same blood flow to it as there is softer tissue.  Use an antiseptic cleanser on it at least twice a day.  Many people have problems with cartilage peircings done with "cheap" metals.  Try to keep them as clean as possible without irritating them more.  If after 12 weeks they are still sore, you probably need to get an antibiotic and change the earing to a real gold, platinum or silver.
