Cartoon network and nickalodion bad for kids!!!!?

Question

i do not let my younger siblings watch any show except for pokemon on cartoon network and nickalodion. the bad shows include, spongebob, my gym partner is a monkey, robot boy, billy and mandy, chowder, camp lazlo, and the list goes on and on.

why would you let your kids watch shows that display gross, morbid, and discriminating characters. there is alot of ick, butt hugging, farting, and the characters act retarded and stupid. do you really want your children to act like this? this is how people act when they are high on drugs or drunk! this is not good for children of any age to watch and should be banned from t.v. i think t.v shows should have a educational lession in it. children mimic what they watch, do you want you'r child(ren) to act like this?

TV is bad for kids. TV shows don't all need to have an educational message - kids just need to spend far less time watching TV.

It isn't bad for kids. You're over reacting. This is grade school humour. Get used to it.

And if you're really concerned about these cartoons, why let them watch Pokemon? You could always say that it promotes animal fighting and violence as the Pokemon fight.

I think you're the one that needs to grow up just a bit, because you're being ridiculous and trying to play the good concerned parent. It's fine to be just that, but you're just being ridiculous, as I said earlier.

I don't like a lot of kids shows either at the moment. Especially spongebob, he is so STUPID! lol  My fiance on the other hand... I can't tear his 23 year old butt away from DragonballZ so our daughter does end up getting stuck with some of the c**p : (

i agree with you! why would you let kids watch shows like that? they're so bad for you and it makes their manners aweful. but on some episodes of spongebob like from back when it was still a new show are okay. but now a days its just horrible to watch, rotting their brains and making them do stupid things. they should take shows like that off the air, and help bring back good shows like s****.-doo and rugrats (back when they were lil babies, not the ones when they're teenagers)

You are insane. No offence but I am pretty sure letting your siblings and kids watch cartoons won't have any affect as to how they act later. Yeah the cartoons are goofy but its supposed to make kids laugh. I am really amused how you don't let your siblings watch Spongebob. There are no NO bad lessons in that show. Theyre just cartoons.
