Carvel cake recipe..?

Question

does anyone know how to make the carvel icing? or something similar? I've heard that it's a mix of melted vanilla ice cream, water and a powder. Any idea what that powder might be? some kind of powdered icing like what jiffy used to make?

Any ideas? Thanks! :)

ps if anyone knows how to make a replica, that would be great..someone said cool whip...does it taste similar?

Go to www.kraftfoods.com  and type in ice cream sandwich cake.  I make this cake all the time and it is really easy and quite good.  Everyone says it is  better than Carvels.  You can use any flavor of ice cream sandwichs and can double or triple it to feed a huge crowd.  Good Luck!

You might go to http://www.recipezaar.com and see if some one has posted that recipe. I seem to remember reading something like that a while back.
