Carver C11

Question

I have a 20 year old Carver C11 preamp. It works good except it makes a popping noise through the line output when it is on for an while. I believe it is a cap in the line output stage but cannot confirm. I have electronics experience and can do some repairs myself. Any suggestions on how to diagnosis the problem with only a Fluke 87 and no schematic.
