Casa Marina Beach and Reef Resort or viva Wyndham Playa Dorada in the DR?

Both are good hotels, the difference is that Sosua is more "party village" at night. On the other hand the beach in Puerto Plata is much bigger and better, but that from Sosua is better for snorkeling.

The choice is yours my Canadian friend.

I'm Dominican and i have been to both and they are both great and somewhat unclean. Casa Marina is excellent you would have the best time just that the room is not great but okay. Playa Dorada is great too but the beach isn't better not the food.

I much prefer Casa Marina because right outside the resort is the real Dominican culture of Sosua. (party town). Dorada is a somewhat closed compund that is not in town. If you walk off the resort, you need transportation to visit Sosua.
