i have an Antec 300 and i have 5 fans and they are laid out like this.

2 fans in the front which bring fresh air in

1 side exhaust fan

1 top exhaust fan

1 fan in the back (exhaust)

my question is is there a better way to disperse the heat? i mean fan layout.

  1. They say having fans in the front is a waste because you're forcing too much air inside just to be expelled again before cooling anything down. Best, to have fans on the side and at the rear sucking air from the front.

  2. my case stays cool with the SUNBEAM transformer layout is.

    120mm front intake

    120mm back exhaust

    80mm side intake x2

    80mm top exhaust

the side fans blow right on the mobo so everything is cool, it has no effect on the cpu fan at all.

so on your case i would do this

keep everything the same except the side change to intake.

the heat rises so the top has to be exhaust.
