Case for sociology research?

Are you looking for a case study?  If so, does this have to be on a specific topic?

That question is REALLY BROAD. Are you a high school student? Undergraduate? Graduate student? There are a vast number of case studies available for sociological research -as many as there are grouping of people. You could analyze conversations about music among Starbucks visitors...survey residents of low-income neighborhoods on their top 3 concerns (door-to-door)...Analyze conversations about racism online, to see how people online understand race/racism...The internet has made sociological research easier than ever. I don't remember how i "did " sociology before the internet really took off.

Don't worry, I can sympathize - my knowledge of sociology is vast - but I was unable to complete an undergraduate thesis on the topic at my first college - my knowledge was so abstract back then, that I couldn't get a real world, empirical study together. Now, it seems like a piece of cake. But, back then, it seemed impossible to do a live case study - I had no transportation, and I was afraid to approach people. Today, I know that people will generally bend over backwards if you tell them you are doing a school project.
