Casein problems in children?

every time my 3 year old drinks milk he becomes hyperactive and a little uncontrolable.

I would bring them to a doctor. This is not normal, my friends son had this also, and it can become so that everytime he eats any kind of dairy food.

My son had the same problem. He was also really emotional and reacted to every little thing like it was the end of the world. I put him on a gluten free and casein free diet- it's been about 9 months or so and he's a different kid now. So it's worth a shot! Just buy a fortified rice milk for him and wait a few weeks and see if you notice a difference. (I suggest rice milk instead of soy because it's less  likely to be an allergen.) My son also had some minor eczema that cleared up after I changed his diet too so apparently that was caused by his food allergies as well. If removing milk doesn't work then give artificial colors a test- they can cause hyperactivity as well. Good luck! =]
