I also believe that they have enough to think that the child is dead....It's unreal that Casy would tell the police that she would tell them what she knows if they grant her emunity.  What mother says that?  She should be telling everything she knows in the hope that it would be of use to the police in finding her child....and for that reason I  believe she has done something to the child that she will be held  accountable for ...she obviously  has reason to fear the police and thinks that telling the truth will lead to more trouble for her....people like her don't deserve to have children....just my opinion
