Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi still on fire with Jerez accident - MotoGP News
The MotoGP rivals, Casey Stoner of Repsol Honda and Valentino Rossi of Ducati team have still flames left to burn about the Jerez's round. The accident happened during the second round, when Rossi slipped while overtaking Stoner from inside and swept him
along. The issue was on fire at the one day Estoril test on May 2.
Valentino Rossi, who is not a shy guy in front of the media and likes to show them all, said “Stoner slightly blocked me again on the line and he did it on purpose, it’s not a big problem, all these spats between the riders in the end are just fun. I would
say that Lorenzo and Pedrosa have a 50 percent chance of winning the championship but it is still long and we must also consider Stoner."
The Italian is seen to be careful about his rivals, when it comes to list them for the championship. However, this time Rossi left Stoner a bit behind in his list.
In a media meeting after the Estoril test, Valentino Rossi tried to explain the facts between the MotoGP heroes of 500cc era and the present day. He claimed that the present riders in the premier class are more like of kids when compared to the two-stroke
500cc heroes. It was when Casey Stoner complained about the incident, whereas, he himself rides with hard track-tactics. On the other hand the last season’s issue reignited between Marco Simoncelli and Jorge Lorenzo on getting into contact at the Valencia
round. Lorenzo’s complain was loud, but Simoncelli made it fun like situation.
Valentino Rossi added to is comparisons and said, "It's like Wayne Rainey goes to Kevin Schwantz after Suzuka in 1991 and says, 'Ah - you are not polite!' Or Michael Doohan with Wayne Gardner in Phillip Island after the epic battle they had, 'You are a b*****d.'
This is the race. This is what happens.”
In the bygone days the verbal clash between riders was taken normally, because they were real men at racing. Considering the present breed of the MotoGP riders, they give a feel of being children.
