Casey Stoner sits high on time sheet by mid-day at final day of Sepang II test – MotoGP news
Rider Casey Stoner and his Repsol Honda team have proved themselves to be the fastest bike in on the track.
He conquered the time sheet on first day and on the second day Stoner claimed back his lead from teammate Dani Pedrosa past half day. Today the Aussie is running on full steam with a lap time of one minute and 59.665s after just completing 20 laps.
He is leading the Repsol Honda duo on the time chart, followed by Dani Pedrosa. The top two Repsol Hondas are the only riders running within the two-minute barrier, whereas the RC212V is placed in the top-four positions out of top-five places.
Ducati Team rider Valentino Rossi is running back onto the track this morning and has put up 2 minute and 1.469 seconds on the clock, coming in 11th place until his 33rd lap.
After completing 39 laps, Nicky Hayden of the Ducati Team has moved up a position to 12th place with a 2 minute and 1.469 seconds lap time. Hector Barbera of Aspar Team is the only unofficial Ducati rider running in a top-ten place. His
lap time is 2 minute and 1.346 seconds with just 12 laps.
Ben Spies is running with time of 2m 0.678s by 32 laps done. Spies have sustained his position from the start of the day. Teammate Jorge Lorenzo is separated at seventh position from Spies by Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider falling in between at sixth place
with a lap time of 2 minute and 0.966 seconds until his 29th lap.
Lorenzo is running at 2 minute and 1.003 seconds for lap-time. After top four, the following three positions (5-6-7) are covered by M1 riders. Cal Crutchlow of Monster Yamaha Tech3 is placed 14th with a lap time of 2 minute and 2.034 seconds
time despite of his poor health conditions and an accident on the last day.
Alvaro Bautista of Rizla Suzuki is standing on an eighth place by lap timing of 2 minute and 1.194 seconds after 26 laps.
