Cash a check under 18?

Question

I live in NY and i was wondering if i could cash my checks even though i'm under 18?

I have a school ID, my friend said i could as long as i had something to show it was me.

do you have an account anywhere ? i'm guessing no because if you're under 18 you can't have a checking account. i do it all the time but you have to go to the bank that the check is from, and bring like 2 forms of id with you . hope i helped =]

yea i didn't think you could have an account under 18 because i'm 17 and i can't . so jsut look at the check and see what bank it is from, and go there . like if it's from bank of america you need to cash it there
