My daughter was offered 4,000 pounds to move out of her flat to a house. She moved out only to discover that the landlord is deducting all but 750 pounds for items like skips and mending the lock on the front door of the building. ( there were other people living there too.). The other people were not charged for these things. Can my daughter take the landlord to court. She hasn't done all this damage. She's not that kind of person. The girl next door commited suicide just a couple of months ago......why???

  1. If your daughter was offered 4,000 pounds, she gets 4,000 pounds.  Otherwise the offer was 750 pounds and she never would have accepted.  Something is missing from her story.  She signed a paper when she accepted the 4,000 pound offer.  Did she keep that paper?  It must explain that she won't really get 4,000 pounds.  Did she read it?  Find it and this will get clearer. /
