  1. ATMs work in Cuba but don't solely rely on them as they do not always function efficiently depending on the communication system on some days.

From what I understand, these cards are from UK-based financial institutions?

If that's the case, then they can be used. Only credit cards that are from US-based financial institutions are not accepted.

You can easily do cash advances on your credit cards though without any problems. Not all resorts have a bank, so if the resort you're at doesn't have one, they'll direct you to one that is nearby your hotel. But every hotel has a money exchange service.

That said, don't solely rely on your cards either...make sure you take cash with you...especially to have enough when you land. You can change money at the airport in Jardines del Rey (which is where you'll be arriving at). Or you can just wait until you get to your hotel.

Havana has banks and cadecas and you'll be able to change money as well.

Have an amazing time in Cuba. If I remember, it's for a honeymoon? Again, all the best.

  2. They do have them but not everywhere and they certainly don't all work. Never rely on finding one but always keep your eyes peeled. Most hotels have somewhere you can change up money at a very reasonable rate.
