What is CashCrate? I was looking for a summer job, and ran into this. Is it safe, and what do you do exactly?

  1. I have yet to hear of anyone getting wealthy filling out surveys online. They have a simple two tier referral program.

Other programs like AmeriPlan provide a much needs service with the ability to create leverage on people you refer into the program. AmeriPlan just concluded it's 16th annual convention. Many are successful and poeple are earning millions in as  little as 5 years. See Convention site below.

Through July 30th it is only $20 to get started with AmeriPlan. See dreamformore.com below.

  2. I think it's safe, but it's not worth your time. They claim all you have to do is fill out these "surveys" and you'll make money. You HAVE to give them an email address and you HAVE to give them a phone number. They will send a check once a month as long as you have earned at least $15.00. And because they mail the check, you HAVE to give them your address. No problem, right?

Then you select a "survey" to fill out. Except each survey only pays between 25 cents and about $1.50, and most are 50 - 75 cents.

And the "surveys" are all these offers you have to agree to, like "free" magazine subscriptions, information on tons and tons of stuff you have no interest in and a few that you might have an interest in. So, not too annoying, until you realize that every time you answer a "question" saying you're interested in that offer, a whole new "survey" pops up asking a dozen more questions about a dozen other related offers. At one time there were 30 survey windows open. As soon as I tried to close them, more would pop up. It was like a nightmare. I was on the computer for 45 minutes and there was no end in sight. So I closed all the window (which probably took me about 5 minutes alone) and went back to the list of surveys to see if I was maybe missing something. I tried it again, and the same thing started happening. I immediately closed all the windows as soon as possible, and went back to a harmless looking survey that was actually a comsumer opinion survey.

According to the website, you can do these once a day (or week or month, I can't remember now...I think I'm trying to block it out!). It only paid about $1.50 or something ridiculous like that, but I figured I still hadn't been punished enough, and decided to do this one more survey. At the start, it says it takes about 15-20 minutes. Well, 20 minutes in, it started asking me questions about stores I had never heard of, but supposedly earlier in the survey had indicated that I had shopped at. There was no indication as to how much longer this was going to go on, so I ended the survey, and closed my account at cash crate.

Chalk that one up to a bad experience, and move on with your life, right?

WRONG. Over the 3 days I must have had 50 phone calls from solicitors saying I had filled out this information on line asking about stuff they didn't even ask me about (on line college courses? I'm 47 freaking years old!!!)

It was a nightmare. Never, never, never again!

EDIT: I'm guessing that the guy above made all his money on referrals. Since he's posted a link to his blog, he's most likely getting people to say they heard about cashcrate from him, and he gets a bonus. As I said, if they are paying an average of 75 cents a survey, he would have had to have completed over 725 surveys in one month. Doubtful!
