Question:

Cashiers l*****g their fingers?

I can't stand it. What should I do? Say something to them or management? Throw-up? Sometimes, if they really slobber, I'll gingerly take what they hand me and sort of keep it at distance, like it's a cootie bug (which it is!). Ugh... there are waxy products made just for opening plastic bags and counting money.

Does it bother you?

  1. The supermarket by me gives cashers a little dish with a sponge in it so that cashiers don't do that.  You can give the store that suggestion

  2. Seeing that your about to be touching money (a lot of people don't wash their hands after using the bathroom then handle money) which is really very dirty I 'm not sure which is actually worse.  I'd carry a small bottle of hand sanatizer.  You can't help how dirty other people are but you can protect yourself and it will help you from getting sick.

  3. you can leave a note in the suggestion box. or give it to the manager if there is no box.

  4. Yes!  I think it is absolutely disgusting.  As a former cashier myself, I never indulged in the practice, and bristled at the sight of other cashiers doing it.  Those cashiers who do it don't realize that when they do that they are making themselves a recipient as well as a contributor to a long chain of filth which can quite literally make even the most hardened soldier sick to their stomach.
