The Spanish shot-stopper wants Real Madrid to focus on La Liga, after they managed to reach the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
The Real Madrid goalkeeper and captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815, recently stated how he does not want Los Blancos to lose any more points in the Spanish La Liga.
The Spanish champions were not able to take the right start in the Spanish La Liga, as early draws and losses against easier teams allowed Real Madrid’s rival-club, Barcelona, to reach the top of the Spanish La Liga table.
The Catalan giants are now 11 points clear of Real Madrid in the league and they are the favourites to win the Spanish La Liga this season.
However, if Real Madrid even have a beacon of hope in terms of winning the Spanish La Liga, they just cannot drop any more points on the way.
The Spanish champions can simply not afford to make another mistake in the league, in case they want to challenge http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 for the domestic title.
And that is exactly what their captain, Iker Casillas, recently stated and expressed how he does not want his team to lose another point in the league.
“They are three games in quick succession but now we cannot afford to lose any points in the League. And against Celta [in the Cup] we will try to do well in a game that will be full of difficulties.”
“It took us a lot of effort to beat them in the League in October. They are a Primera Division-level side and the arrival of Madrid in Vigo always gives them motivation.”
“We have to think of ourselves in this tough week as it ends against Espanyol, who come from a difficult situation with new Coach.”
Real Madrid will be facing Valladolid in the Spanish La Liga and after their midweek win against the Dutch giants, Ajax, the Spanish champions should build on their wins and try and take all three points from this Spanish La Liga fixture in order to build
pressure on their local city rivals, and the second-place La Liga side, Atletico Madrid, who are only 6 points above Los Blancos after Mourinho’s men thrashed them last weekend.
